AIIDE

The AIIDE StarCraft AI Competition, held at the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Interactive Digital Entertainment, is a recurring annual tournament that has been held since 2010. It was organised by Michael Buro and David Churchill in affiliation with the University of Alberta, Canada, and its official site is now maintained by David Churchill at davechurchill.ca/starcraft. Together with SSCAIT and CIG/CoG it is one of the three big AI tournaments for Brood War AI.

Organization

Since 2011 the competition has been a round robin in which every bot plays every other bot, ranked by win percentage. The 2010 edition tested separate skills instead of one round robin, so it has no single score. It should be stressed that the AIIDE has a greater focus on AI instead of the coding of build orders, as the SSCAIT does.
